Muototerä is a family owned company found in 1953, Tampere Finland.
First products were cutting blades designed for shoe industry. Machine building started in the late 1960s with die presses and machinery business expanded to other production machines used in the shoe and leather industry.
Few of our earliest waterjet machines from the 1980s
In the 1980s Muototerä started to manufacture production and automation solutions for other industries as well. It was year 1988 when we manufactured the first waterjet machine in Finland and since then Muototerä have been the lead producer of waterjet machines in Finland and Europe. During those times we also developed wood chip classifier for pulp industry and due to effective R&D work Muototerä still produces high technology automated chip classifiers.
Since the 1960s to this day, Muototerä have been designing and manufacturing special machinery for various industry needs. Own production with own mechanical, automation, and electricity engineering creates a customer service concept where experienced engineering office and state-of-the-art machinery works seamlessly.
Our current production facilities (approximately 3500 square meters) in Tampere. In the picture you can see four waterjet cutting machines and one special machinery project being manufactured.
